The Neve Tzedek Neighborhood
  • The lively and picturesque Neve Tzedek neighborhood, walking distance from the Royal Beach Tel Aviv, and near to HaTachana (the renovated former Tel Aviv railway station), and the Carmel Market, is calling you to discover the history and culture of the non-stop city.

The walls of Jaffa's designer shops, colorful galleries and unique restaurants reflect the history of the area. You can feel the aura of ancient Jaffa as you stroll among the shops and breathe in the Mediterranean air that wafts across the water and emanates from every stone of these historic buildings.

Neve Tzedek was the first Jewish neighborhood built outside the walls of Jaffa, long before Tel Aviv itself was established. The artistic and creative atmosphere of the neighborhood stems from its acclaimed cultural centers, such as the Suzanne Dallal Centre for Dance and Theater and the Nahum Gutman Museum of Art. Of course, tremendous influence has also been exerted on the area by the many important intellectuals and artists who have lived here.

During the 1990s, Neve Tzedek underwent widespread urban renewal, as many houses and buildings were renovated or reconstructed.  At this time, countless designer and houseware stores, galleries, cafés, and restaurants also popped up, mainly on Shabazi Street.
